Is Bethenny Frankel headed to the big screen?

Two sources confirm to Us Weekly that the Bravo reality star, 41, auditioned for a role in director Michael Bay's new movie Pain and Gain. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Ed Harris and Anthony Mackie.

"Bethenny secretly read for a role in Miami, Florida, and she did a good job," a source says of her February 27 audition. "Although she has no formal training, she has obviously gained a lot of experience working with cameras and she was totally comfortable with what she had to read."

The second insider says Frankel was actually scouted by a casting agent while sightseeing with daughter Bryn, nearly 2, at Jungle Island zoological park.

"He didn't know who she was but wanted her to read. When she went in, the casting directors were freaking out because it ended up being Bethenny Frankel," the insider tells Us. "The casting guy realized it when Bethenny came to the office."

Bay, 47, was not present for Frankel's audition.

"They sent her an email after and said how great she was," the insider adds. "She doesn't know when she'll find out if she gets the part, but the audition was fabulous."

Should Frankel win the role, it wouldn't be her first acting gig: she appeared on Hollywood Hills 90028 in 1994, Wish Me Luck in 1995 and Z Rock in 2009.

When contacted by Us about her potential role in Pain and Gain, Frankel's rep had no comment.
