The hottest R&B singers in the game are none other than Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams. The Tonight Show host, 40, and the NBC anchor, 55, teamed up to perform a seriously smooth number.
Williams stopped by The Tonight Show on Tuesday, Dec. 2, in recognition of his 10th anniversary with NBC Nightly News. He took the opportunity to bring a little serious news, as well as a lot of style, to Fallon’s New York City set.
“It’s been two weeks since President Obama took executive action to enact his own immigration policy, and republicans are still trying to figure out how to respond,” Fallon began, introducing the segment. “You know, I was going to make a joke about this story, but I don’t think it needs a joke. I think it needs to be slow jammed.”
Looking to his on-set band The Roots, Fallon questioned, “You know what I’m talking about Tariq?” The musician responded, “Yeah Jimmy, I think you’re saying you wanna slow jam this news.”
“That’s right,” the host asserted. “I wanna slow jam the news, and I’m not the only one.”
Williams then joined Fallon onstage, saying, “Hello, I’m Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News, and ladies and gentleman, I too wish to slow jam this news.”
The two men then did just that. Accompanied by The Roots, Williams informed the public about Obama’s plan as Fallon crooned away, making sexual innuendos with the story.
