Though her artist Jacquie Lee didn't win The Voice season 5, Christina Aguilera still had her time to shine when she took to the stage with former "enemy" Lady Gaga. The fellow pop superstars — whose over-the-top singing styles are arguably similar -- performed Gaga's hit "Do What U Want" while wearing matching metallic gold ensembles. (For the sex-infused track, Aguilera filled in for R. Kelly, who recorded the duet on Gaga's Artpop album.)

At one point in the performance, the blonde divas sat side-by-side on a couch as Aguilera stroked the "Applause" singer's leg and sipped on champagne.

Following "Do What U Want," host Carson Daly gave the two ladies the opportunity to talk about the collaboration.

"I was really excited because The Voice called and said they wanted me to perform on the finale, and I obviously can't refuse," Gaga, 27, said. "Such an amazing show! And I said I want to know if Christina wants to do it with me!"

Aguilera, 33, shared the sentiment. "This is the first time we've ever met," she revealed. "When I heard she wanted to collaborate, I said of course! She's such an innovative artist and a risk taker. And as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that. And I just have to say guys, she's the most down-to-earth real person I've met. So I love you girl, and you deserve everything you've earned."

The "Beautiful" singer was in a rumored feud with Gaga back in 2008, but during a September 2013 Watch What Happens Live appearance, Gaga cleared up the so-called "fight."

"I'm a very big fan of Christina Aguilera," she said. "From the very beginning of when my career started there was all this controversy about the two of us, and I always felt that it was very unfair to her."
