Think awards season is over? Think again! The Oscars may have come and gone, but there's still one more chance for stars to pick up a trophy at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, which air live on Sunday, April 13.
This year's sure-to-be over-the-top ceremony will be emceed by none other than late-night host Conan O'Brien. The Emmy-winning comedian — who headlines his own show, Conan, on TBS and had a brief but infamous stint as host of NBC's The Tonight Show in 2009 — announced the news on TV on Tuesday, March 4.
O'Brien follows 2013 hostess Rebel Wilson, who reunited her Pitch Perfect cast mates at last year's event to perform an epic acapella medley of songs like Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," Eminem's "Lose Yourself," and Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire." Other past hosts include Russell Brand, Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari, Jimmy Fallon, and Andy Samberg.
Held at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, the 2014 MTV Movie Awards will honor the best films and performances from the past year, as well as feature exclusive looks at some upcoming summer blockbusters. Nominations — for categories such as Best Kiss, Best Villain, Best Breakthrough Performance, and Best Fight — will be announced on Thursday, March 6.
