Daytime Emmy Awards 2014: List of Nominees

It begins! The nominations for the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards have been announced, with a soap opera leading the pack. Daytime soap The Young and the Restless scored 28 nominations, followed by The Bold and the Beautiful with 18, and General Hospital with 16.

Other notable nominations include The Ellen DeGeneres Show for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show, and The Today Show going head-to-head with its morning rival Good Morning America for Outstanding Morning Program. Katie Couric is also in the running for Outstanding Talk Show Host, although her program Katie was cancelled after two seasons last December.

The 41st Daytime Emmy Awards will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday, June 22.
