When Destiny’s Child says yes, nobody can say no! For the first time since their 2013 Super Bowl performance, the three powerhouse women of Destiny’s Child reunited for another one-off, this time on Michelle Williams’ new pop gospel track “Say Yes.”
On the track, both Beyonce and Kelly Rowland get their own verses, singing together on the catchy choruses. The ladies appear together in the single’s new music video, which was released on Wednesday, June 18.
The upbeat video features Williams singing and dancing around with a group of cheering dancers waving their flags. Beyonce, sporting her recently debuted long braids, dances alone in the forest with a giant gold necklace and large white cover-up.
Rowland (who is now pregnant) wears a white crop top with her hair short as she grins and rocks from side to side in the same forest. The girls sing, “When Jesus say yes, nobody can say no!”
This new single is Williams’ first from her upcoming fourth solo studio album, Journey to Freedom, which hits stores on Sept. 9.
“This song is so inspiring,” Beyonce said in a behind-the-scenes video. "There’s not enough music out there like this, and I’m proud to be a part of it."
Though Rowland and Williams appeared in Beyonce’s “Superpower” music video, the trio hasn’t recorded a song together since 2013’s “Nuclear,” which was featured on the compilation album Love Songs.
