The "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" singer invited Taylor Swift to finish her acceptance speech after she won Best Video of the Year. Swift's speech for Best Female Video was cut short when West took the stage and shouted, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!"

"Tonight, I want you to stand up on your feet — I want you to feel the love that's growing inside me!" Beyoncé said during her performance of "Love on Top" at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. The singer revealed she and husband Jay-Z were expecting their first child together by rubbing her belly on stage. Daughter Blue Ivy arrived the following January.

A simple acceptance speech wouldn’t do. Before receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award (Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are past honorees), Bey performed a 16-minute medley of her fifth studio album, Beyoncé. She was visibly choked up after Jay-Z presented the golden trophy to her. And Blue Ivy congratulated her superstar mom too: “Good job, Mommy!” Beyoncé also took home Best Collaboration for “Drunk in Love" and Best Cinematography in a Video and Best Video With a Social Message for “Pretty Hurts.”

After her surprise release of Lemonade, which dropped that April, the “Hold Up” singer made history by earning a career-best 11 nominations for the album, including Video of the Year for "Formation" and Best Female Video for "Hold Up." She took home eight trophies.
