Geraldo Rivera Parodies Donald Trump on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ in Cringeworthy Performance

Tripped up by Trump! Geraldo Rivera parodied Donald Trump during Dancing With the Stars on Monday, March 28 — but his hard work fell flat.

Rivera, 72, wore a wig and rocked a tan for the performance, which began in an Oval Office setting and turned into a salsa in Mexico. His pro partner, Edyta Sliwinska, played Trump’s wife, Melania Trump.

As previously reported, Trump was fired from NBC and his Celebrity Apprentice hosting duties last year following his controversial remarks against Mexican immigrants. Trump chose Leeza Gibbons as the winner of Celebrity Apprentice over Rivera in season 14 of the reality series.

Rivera lost again on Monday night. The veteran journalist earned a score of 13 out of 30 from the judges and was the first contestant to get eliminated in season 22.

“Unfortunately, you did not make dance great again, but you did make me laugh,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said during the live show, playing on Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

Rivera later tweeted about his defeat. “Whatever happens @DancingABC, I’m sure there’s no future for me either as a dancer or @realDonaldTrump impersonator,” he wrote. “Obviously disappointed by my performance @DancingABC -Mostly because wonderful partner @Edyta_Sliwinska won’t be centerstage. Big Thx to her.”
