Moving on. Iggy Azalea opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about her relationship with L.A. Lakers star Nick Young and confirmed things are “good” between herself and her fiancé.
In case you missed it, the pair made huge headlines last month after Young, 30, allegedly admitted to cheating on Azalea during a conversation with his teammate D’Angelo Russell. Russell, 20, taped the admission, which was later leaked online on March 24.
Russell’s actions caused an uproar in the Lakers locker room and uncertainty about whether Azalea and Young were on the rocks. (Azalea had previously revealed on March 18 that she and Young postponed their wedding because of the singer’s tour schedule.)
But talking to DeGeneres during an appearance on her show, which will air later today, Friday, April 8, the Australian rapper insisted the drama was all online, not in her life.
“That’s a beautiful ring, by the way, and you’re engaged to a Laker?” DeGeneres asked, innocently.
“Yes,” replied Azalea. DeGeneres then went on to ask whether there was some “controversy.”
“Of course there is. There always is. But we’re good,” the 25-year-old star replied. “There isn’t at home, just on the internet.”
“At home you’re good?” pressed the show host.
“Yeah. We’re good,” the rapper replied.
During the candid interview, DeGeneres also addressed some of the backlash Azalea has faced due to admitting that she’s had her nose and breasts fixed with plastic surgery.
“There was nothing wrong with me,” Azalea explained when DeGeneres asked why she did it. “I think it’s a personal choice and anybody, man or woman, they should be able to make an informed decision. And if you want to change something, then that’s up to you,” she said.
“I changed my nose and I got boobs. I didn’t have boobs before, I just had nipples, and now I have breasts. Thought I could use some — that would be a good addition,” she continued, laughing.
