The Duggar family has expanded once again following Johannah Duggar and David Swanson’s wedding.
Us exclusively confirms the pair tied the knot on September 10, according to county records.
Johannah, 20, is the 16th child and sixth daughter of Jim Bob Duggar and wife Michelle Duggar, who rose to reality TV fame on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting. (Johannah was the second child to be born on TV in their large brood.)
Like some of her siblings, Johannah kept her courtship private before quietly tying the knot. News broke in early September that she had filed for a marriage license in Arkansas and had 60 days to legally get hitched.
According to their wedding website on The Knot, Johannah and David, 23, were set to exchange their vows on Saturday, October 10.
However, Johannah and David got married early with Gospel Light Baptist Church minister Noel Cwenar serving as the officiant, per records seen by Us.
The newlyweds already had a familial connection — one that some Counting On fans may remember.
David is the younger brother of Lauren Duggar (née Swanson), who married Johannah’s older brother Josiah Duggar in June 2018 following a three-month engagement. (Lauren and Josiah, 30, share three kids.)
The Swanson family almost had three Duggar weddings, when Johannah’s brother James Duggar was reportedly engaged to Lydia Swanson, but the pair never made it down the aisle. (The pair’s Target registry revealed their wedding date as May 21.)
While the family has not released any photos from Johannah and David’s ceremony, Jessa Duggar hinted at a recent reunion with some of her sisters via Instagram on September 17.
“The last month or two, in no particular order ✨,” she captioned the upload, which featured one photo with Joy-Anna Duggar and Jinger Duggar sitting on the couch.
Jessa, 33, shared a second photo of sisters Johannah, Jennifer Duggar and Jordyn-Grace Duggar on a coffee date.
Johannah is the latest Duggar to take the plunge, following Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann, who got married in August 2024, and Jason Duggar and Maddie Duggar, who tied the knot that October.
