Though talk of Jennifer Lawrence's fashion has been amplified this awards season, the Oscar winner, 23, has proven she can be just as buzzed about without any clothes on. Staring ahead confidently in her blue X-Men Mystique makeup, Lawrence is featured on one of the 25 limited edition collector's covers for Empire Magazine's March 2014 issue.
Mystique is a staple in the X-Men world, teaming up with the Brotherhood to form an entirely-mutant world through her powers of shapeshifting and vocal augmentation.
Other cover stars include American Horror Story's Evan Peters as the speedy Quicksilver, Hugh Jackman as the angry Wolverine, Halle Berry as the masterful Storm, and X-Men veteran Anna Paquin as the silver-haired Rogue.
Lawrence's blue body has changed slightly since 2011's X-Men: First Class. The makeup has fewer layers, covering less of her body, and the "scales" are more prominent this time around, being a darker color blue than the body paint.
In behind-the scenes footage from X-Men: First Class, Lawrence revealed that it takes six or seven hours and six women to paint and airbrush the blue makeup.
After winning the 2013 Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, the quirky actress is nominated once again for her role as Rosalyn in American Hustle, which has already earned her a Golden Globe win.
X-Men: Days of Future Past -- also starring Lawrence's on-again boyfriend Nicholas Hoult -- hits theaters May 23, 2014.
