Add Kendra Wilkinson to The Mindy Project's already long list of celebrity guest stars! The 28-year-old TV personality is set to appear on creator and star Mindy Kaling's hit FOX comedy in an upcoming episode this season!
"[It's a] funny little part and my friend Jeremy [Bronson] wrote [it]," Kaling, 34, revealed to Us Weekly at the post-Emmys Governors Ball on Sunday, Sept. 22. "A really funny script and she's in it!"
Back for its sophomore season, Dr. Lahiri [Kaling] has just returned from Haiti and is newly engaged. NBA star and Kim Kardashian's ex-husband Kris Humphries is also set to appear this season playing himself, but that won't be the case for the former Playboy beauty.
"She will be playing a character," a source tells Us. "Mindy is a huge fan of Kendra's and asked her to do one episode. Kendra is so excited!"
In fact, Kaling previously mentioned the blonde stunner in Episode 21 of the first season. In the "Santa Fe" episode Lahiri's ex-boyfriend reads off a tweet that Kaling's character previously sent to Wilkinson's husband, Hank Baskett. "@TheHankBaskett, I'm flying to your home state tonight. I think you and Kendra have a beautiful relationship #bigfan," the faux tweet read.
Other previous guest stars have included Ed Helms, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, Seth Rogen and Chloe Sevigny. James Franco is the most current guest star, playing Lahiri's replacement Paul Leotard. Former Happy Endings actor Adam Pally — originally set to recur as a guest star — was recently bumped up to a series regular.
