The wait is almost over, 24 fans!
After months of scant details about the planned 24 movie, the former FOX show's star, Kiefer Sutherland, is opening up about putting the film into production.
"Hopefully we will be shooting the end of April, beginning of May," Sutherland, 45, told reporters at a Television Critics Association press event for his new FOX series, Touch, on Saturday in Pasadena, Calif.
Though the action star was otherwise tight-lipped about his next project, Sutherland has long had faith that the film -- based on the 2001-10 TV series -- would see the light of day.
Although the film's first round script by State of Play's Billy Ray was nixed, Sutherland confidently calls the project "the little engine that could."
"Billy did a fantastic job and there are aspects of that story [that will remain]," he told the ladies of ABC's The View in March, confirming the studio is now working with director Tony Scott. "I couldn't be more thrilled."
