Kristen Bell is ringing the silver bells. The actress, 34, got in the holiday spirit with a little help from famed a cappella group Straight No Chaser.
Bell and the celebrated singers teamed up for a modern holiday song called “Text Me Merry Christmas,” debuting the cheery number on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show on Monday, Nov. 17.
The song’s video opens with the House of Lies star’s vocals as text messages fill the screen.
“This holiday you’ll be far away / And I’ll be all alone / So please remember this December / To fully charge your phone,” Bell croons. “And… Text me Merry Christmas / Let me know you care / Just a word or two of text from you / Will remind me you’re still there.”
The mother to daughter Lincoln and wife to Dax Shepard goes on to sing with Straight No Chaser about the benefits of a Christmas text and the importance of emojis, adding that Snapchats, tweets, and Facebook messages won’t cut it.
This isn’t the first time that Bell has shown off her singing chops with a winter tune. Last year, she famously lent her vocals to the hit movie Frozen and its accompanying soundtrack, recording the songs “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and “For the First Time in Forever.”
