The former Playgirl cover model, 20, is running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska -- and documenting it in his reality show, Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office, the executive producer, Canaan Rubin, tells UsMagazine.com in a statement.

Sarah Palin famously held the office before getting voted in as the governor of Alaska. She resigned in July 2009.

Reads the statement, "The docu-soap will follow the ever controversial, headline making, matinee idol, handsome father of one as he embarks on a run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska... [the] series will chronicle a 'no-holds-barred' period in Levi’s tumultuous life; co-raising his son Tripp, looking for love, and taking care of business for his fellow Wasillians. He will give us a real inside look into who he is as a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker, and of course his journey down the road of small town politics -- right after he gets his high school diploma."
"Levi thinks he can take the office by representing the real citizens of Wasilla," continues the statement. "If elected, Levi promises to serve his full term. Tank Jones will serve as Levi’s campaign manager."

A source tells Us shooting on the series, to be produced by Stone and Co., is already underway, "They shot pre-production on the pilot today on Rodeo Drive [in Beverly Hills]."

Levi say he wants to make a change in his hometown? Wasilla (which he isn't even a resident of) Maybe, he should start by not provide our youth with drugs. Yes Levi I went there. Not only has Levi's mother been incarcerated for drug distribution and only served a sentence for one of her six charges, Levi was with her during the distribution!! Not to mention what kind of father pretends to want to get back with his baby's mother just to land a reality show. Levi you aren't just a disgrace to Wasilla but to fatherhood, period. You are trying to make a mockery of Wasilla not change it. Most are saying you running for Mayor and airing it as a reality show is a joke. The reality of it is that you are a joke!!!

Have you ever been to Alaska? They do not like the white people there who have taken over the oil wells and have left the natives in poverty throwing them a few bucks a year.. Levi couldn't do any more harm then has been done already.

First of all Fox Rider…Sarah is not all that bad? She is possibly one of the most corrupt people in all of politics. Her and her husband both had ties with a Construction company up there who built them a home as a favor for a 20 million plus contract she got them. When the good folks of Wasilla tried to find out she became head of some board up there to have all the papers on it erased. She is also an employee of BP oil. They dumped a ton of money on her VP campaign. Not to mention the whole ex-husband sheriff or deputy or whatever of her sister that she had fired because of their breakup. Also she has done as about as much for women's rights as Ike Turner. The only way I would agree to this Levi thing is if he is running as a Democrat. Anything else and he will be just as bad or useless as her.
