Critics claim Melissa McCarthy appears to be Photoshopped in 'The Heat' U.K. movie poster.

Feeling The Heat! Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy's new buddy cop comedy, The Heat, is coming under fire following the release of a new U.K. movie poster for the film. In the poster, McCarthy looks nearly unrecognizable in what some are arguing to be a bad Photoshop job.

"Nobody is unclear what Melissa McCarthy's body size is — she's plus-sized and proud. So why have the designers of this poster done their utmost to Photoshop a good 30lbs off of McCarthy's face?" The Shiznit, a British entertainment blog, wrote on Friday, June 7. "This is one of the worst Photoshop jobs I have ever seen, but it's not just offensively bad craftsmanship — the intention behind it is downright nasty."

In the image, the 42-year-old actress' face appears to be slimmer. Critics claim the Bridesmaids star is a victim of the "Photoshop diet."

Model Christie Brinkley shared her reaction to McCarthy's new poster with Entertainment Tonight on June 12.

"I've been photoshopped before," she said. "I think it's kind of weird to do that with actors because obviously you can't photoshop a movie and you're going to be seeing the actors as they are in the movie; you get to know actors and you just love them the way they are . . . we all love Melissa McCarthy just the way she is."
