Paris Hilton's Oxygen Reality Show Premiere Is a Ratings Bomb

If cable TV ratings are any indication, Paris Hilton's no longer hot in the reality TV world. The premiere of her Oxygen series, The World According to Paris, drew a meager 409,000 viewers for its Wednesday premiere.

By comparison, the March debut of singer Aubrey O'Day's Oxygen series drew 724,000, while 1.7 million viewers tuned in for the premiere of the most recent installment of The Bad Girls Club.
Despite the initial ratings return, Hilton remains confident her series will strike a chord with viewers.

"I wanted the show to be as real as possible," the reality star -- who appears alongside mom Kathy Hilton, boyfriend Cy Waits and Charlie Sheen's ex Brooke Mueller on the series -- told Us Weekly at the show's launch party in May. "There's a lot of things in the show that I'm like, 'Oh my God, I cannot believe I'm going to allow this on television.' Years ago I would have been like, 'No way.' The BFF shows [I did for MTV], were all about being perfect and all that, but life's not perfect, people have ups and downs…and I want to show that and be relatable to other people. I'm just like anyone else."

14I watched the show and I liked it. While at times Paris seems a little spoiled, she seems like she's an OK person. Everyone always says bad things about her and a lot of them I don't think is really true. I think people think badly of her over the sex tape still,which she shouldn't of made,but she's not the one who leaked it and she was young when she made it. Everyone has something they wish they didn't do and now regret it. Hers just ended up in public and kinda made her more famous than she might of been. People should try giving celebs a break-after all, they are human too.
I couldn't watch I was too busy trying to fine some "chewing gum." LMAO! Paris is a JOKE (always has been, always will be).

Now that she see's how the Kardashians show has taken off by them appearing "real" and not acting like a princess, now she wants to appear normal and real to us, but its too late.. we all know what she's really like.
I did watch the preview, and I have to say, if anything, it made me like Paris less. Most of the show looks really staged, and the rest, it seems, Paris just seems like a really mean person. Half of the premiere was her talking about someone else and this is from someone who is thirty years old!
Big surprise there...
Now the next reality series that needs to go away is the Kardashians...there are so many shows of them on E!, wonder when people are going to tired of watching them!

I would love to think that this means that this do-nothing no-talent will finally GET that people who are truly suffering through hard times in this country couldn't care less about some rich b--tch spoiled brat - at age 30! - who does nothing but shop all day with money she neither earned or deserves and her biggest complaint is she has to go do community service in a pair of thousand-dollar heels. Ugh, go away already - you're more annoying than stinkbugs!
