So that explains the foam finger! Robin Thicke's new music video is shedding some light on his sexually explicit performance with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 25. The 36-year-old singer released a NSFW video for his song "Give It 2 U" on Monday that features elements from his raunchy "Blurred Lines" duet with the 20-year-old former Disney star.

With Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz joining him, Thicke's new video includes scantily-clad women twerking on a football field. Similar to his provocative performance with Cyrus, Thicke gets fondled in the video by a woman wearing a giant foam fingers. He also wears the same black-and-white striped referee costume in the vido that he wore on stage at the VMAs.

Thicke's adorable 3-year-old Julian with wife Paula Patton also makes an appearance in the music video. "We Can't Stop" singer Cyrus, however, does not. Following their controversial VMA performance, a source told Us Weekly, "Robin thought it would be fun to include Miley, but he didn't realize how much she would overshadow him. This was his big night and big performance."

But a second insider countered, "He knew what they were going to do and thought it was fun and awesome. He had a great time."
