Selena Gomez interviewed her beau during MTV's VMA pre-show Sunday night - but Justin Bieber didn't come alone!

"I have a snake," the 17-year-old said.

"Stop, I know!" Gomez, 19, squealed.

"My snake's name is Johnson," Bieber told his squeamish girlfriend.

So what was the Biebs wearing? "I have red pants and cheetah shoes," he said.

"Alright, so now you're up for Best Male Video -- against Eminem [and] Bruno Mars," Gomez said. "Do you feel a little nervous?"

"I'm just excited to be in a category with such amazing people," Bieber said. "I'm just happy to be here."

Gomez asked the Never Say Never star if he was excited about Jay-Z and Kanye West "rumored to be performing" at Sunday's show. "I'm very excited," he said. And what about Beyonce's performance? "I'm excited to see Beyonce, too," he admitted.

You people are all too young to remember Mickey Rooney. But, Justin Bieber is a modern-day Mickey Rooney. I don't think he's even 5 feet tall and at his age, he's done growing. He looks like such a little boy. The good news is that 10-year-old girls are going to be screaming for him for a long time.

Snakes were not made to be "pets". Bieber looks 9 years old. Has he even reached puberty yet? If dating the pasty, feminine boy down the street is what Selana wants, she got it. Maybe by the time Bieber is 30, he'll look 17.
