Taraji P. Henson Hands Out Cookies for Golden Globes 2016 Win: Watch!

Cheers — and cookies! Taraji P. Henson won her first Golden Globe for her work on Empire during the star-studded 2016 show Sunday, January 10.

Henson, 45, won in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Drama category. The star was so overjoyed by the win that she handed out cookies to the audience before taking the stage. (Henson, of course, plays Cookie Lyon on the Fox hit.)

But it didn’t end there. Henson snapped at the man who helped her up the stairs because he stepped on the long train of her Stella McCartney dress, and yelled at the teleprompter for telling her to wrap up her speech.

“Get off my train!” she exclaimed. “Cookies for everyone tonight. Cookies for everyone.”

She later added: “Wrap it up? What? I’ve been waiting 20 years for this. You’re gonna wait!”

Henson’s scattered speech was welcomed with laughter from the crowd. She then thanked the Empire showrunners and her costar Terrence Howard.

“Thank you for believing in the show. Danny Strong and Lee Daniels — thank you for believing in me,” she said. “I’m taking this home for the entire Empire. Terrence Howard, I’m nothing without you. Cookie is nothing without Lucious. I love you. Thank you so much.”
