Zombies and Negan and … Glenn? Oh, my! The Walking Dead dropped its midseason premiere trailer on Wednesday, December 30, and with it, a few hints as to how the upcoming season will play out.
In the short 30-second trailer, flashes of Rick (Andrew Lincoln), his son, Carl (Chandler Riggs), and the rest of the cast promise an intense ride, with the addition of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s much-anticipated debut as Negan.
“I thought living behind these walls … was possible,” Rick says ominously in a voice-over as he, Carl and Michonne (Danai Gurira) find themselves surrounded by a mob of zombies.
Another surprise appearance in the trailer involves a brief glimpse of Glenn (Steven Yeun), who appeared to have died in the season finale of the hit AMC series.
Fans are still in a tizzy over whether or not everyone’s favorite pizza delivery man turned badass survived the epic zombie attack, but they’ll have to wait just a bit longer to find out.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, February 14.
