Tony Parker is speaking out — in his native tongue, at least.

Two months after his shocking split from wife Eva Longoria, the French-born basketball player speaks for the first time to French paper Le Parisien about life after Eva.

"The most important thing is to stay strong mentally, even if these are very difficult times," the San Antonio Spurs player says. "I've taken refuge in basketball because that's what I've done best since my youth."

Us Weekly was first to report the demise of the Parker's 3-year-marriage to actress Longoria, 35; Longoria discovered hundreds of inappropriate texts between him and their friend Erin Barry. (Barry has denied an affair.)

Parker doesn't mention his famous ex by name, but tells the paper he's trying to "make sense of things" and leaning on his "teammates, coaches and San Antonio," he says.

He adds, "My whole family has been around me through this."

The duo have remained cordial despite their split (both filed for divorce in November) — meeting for meals in both L.A. and in Texas.

"You have to keep things in perspective," Parker says. "I am, first of all, a basketball player. I've done this for so very long … For me, it's been essential to be successful on the court."
