  He did nothing different from any of the other performers why should he have to apologize? Janet Jackson grabbed her dancers crotch and forcefully bent him over no one cares about that! She and Alicia Keys had their dancers kneeling before them their heads at their crotchs simulated oral sex and not one word about that! Why because they are women. They had two artists come out and perform their songs in S&M attire, Rhianna with her breasts exposed and Gaga with little cover on her nude latex cat suit both wearing crotch straps. They have one artist sing about raping 17 woman another about all the drugs and alcohol she abused and no one cares. Not one complaint. But of the 14 million viewers they get 1500 complaints after the President of the PTC calls up his followers and have them call in to protest. it is called a double standard and it is ludicrous! I applaud Adam Lambert. I was very entertained. His music video just released on FYE is a hit. His CD is full of brilliant vocals. The kid has staying power.

  It was gross. It'd be gross to have a female singer simulate oral sex with a man on stage as well. Yuck. I think people should be whatever sexuality they are, but I don't want to see graphic simulated sex on network tv -- of any sexuality. I feel sorry for that keyboardist. Apparently, he's straight. He's got to allow himself to be sexually exploited on tv to do his job? Musicians have it tough enough as it is.

  Bad taste is bad taste. I'm glad I didn't stay up to watch his performance. I don't care who he likes to date or not date. In the end, people eventually will see through all of the shock value and find very little talent behind it. I guess people will do just about anything to extend their 15 minutes of fame.

  I think Adam did those moves to cover the fact that he was out of tune! It's the first time I've heard him sing off pitch at a live performance.

  abc allows to show lesbians at 9 pm on grey's anatomy at 10 pm 2 gay guys on brothers and sisters so why are they upset with adam. His performance was way after 9 pm. I don't think it was his best performance but people get a grip. Stop all the degraded him. His album is fantastic. He has great vocals.

  YOU MUST READ THE LA TIMES ARTICLE. It is fabulous because it puts the AMA performance in perspective. It mentions Elvis (his hips were blocked), the Doors (who sang about drugs and weren't invited back), Kurt Cobain, and other rockers who pushed the envelope and survived. Everyone should read that article, and they will see what is really happening here. Adam is just being a rocker, he is being himself. He really ISN"T a gay icon, he's not trying to be. Did you see his professional music video version of For Your Entertainment on his my space music yet? IT'S AWESOME. It really shows what he was trying to do. It IS art. You have to watch it. I initially had a negative response FIRST when I saw the AMA performance, but after having read the LA Times article and seeing the real music video, my mind is changed. Adam, You ARE A GENIUS!!!!

  I think Lambert is correct: his behavior was quite predictable, and not really more over the top than women have long been in public performances. I'm not sure that the vocals were representative of AL's talent. Anyone who has followed him on the show, on youtube prior to fame, on the tour can see that he is extremely talented and simply not to be missed. ABC you are losing out here. CBS glad you see what a great opportunity you have!

  I think you "shocked" yourself out of a career, Adam. This may have been OK on HBO or a cable channel but not network TV. I didn't watch Madonna and Britany either. It's ALL wrong! I USED to watch Brothers and Sisters too, until the gay son and his partner started kissing and carrying on. It's a sin.........period! There ARE still enough Christians in this country to shove that home!

  Gay or not gay, the performance was tasteless and trashy. I really expected more from him, but nope he's just the rest of the performers out there who think sex has to be a part of the performance, well guess what, IT DON'T. Not a fan of Adam anymore.

  I didn't mind the performance, but I thought the song and Adam's singing in general, sucked! Whatever that squealing crap is, it needs to go away... It's a shame that people must tie his performance to his sexuality -- quite honestly that is irrelevant. He just sucks as a performer -- that's just my opinion. There is a reason Kris Allen won American Idol, but it doesn't have anything to do with Adam being queer. I'm a homo, so it's not like I am one of the crazy conservatives that are ranting and raving.

  Find it a shame because the young man is very talented. Yet everyone will remember HIS actions on the AMA and not his talent or voice. Did not care for his "performance" and would not have cared for it even if you substituted Madonna or Britney in his place. His antics were so overshadowing, I really didn't listen to the lyrics and thought it was rather silly. Does he really think he "shocked" the viewers? Maybe shocked that his performance was so classless and he feels he has to stoop to such a level right from the beginning.

  If Adam lives this way in his private life, that's his business. But I don't want this including Madonna or Janet's antics forced on me every time I turn these shows on. But in this particular performance, the kiss is far from what I had a problem with...some of the other actions during his performance should have never aired. That is a how on ABC prime time, and kids should be able to watch.
