  The "baby'' talk just goes along with her over-exaggerated blackness in her speech. Mo 'Nique is not an old woman, she just acts like one when she has a mostly black audience. She talks just like my grandmother, which isn't bad, but it's very played out. I am happy, though that she won the award. That role would have been tough for anyone, and she really made me hate her!

  WOW! CONGRATS ON THE GLOBE! I smell Oscar in the air too. You were MAGNIFICENT in that role and it brought me to tears. I didn't grow up in a compromising environment or abused but felt every emotion while viewing this movie that any human can experience. That is what acting is all about. And Kudos to your amazing husband to put it in a way that most of Hollywood will never understand: Family first, and lots and lots of love in the home. Enjoy the moment and it is a well deserved honor to a person that worked long and hard to get this award.

  I am so glad Monique won.It doesn't matter if she's black white or purple.She played her part to a T and she deserves all the recognition she gets for it.For the ppl who have negative racist remarks to make.I'd like to see you do what she does or any actor does on a daily basis.Grow up guys seriously.When will the hate stop.
