No mixed messages here! Days after the news of her split from The Weeknd, Bella Hadid has made a crucial switch to her accessory game: she traded in her boyfriend necklace for one with her own name.

Before the breakup, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 model, 20, rocked a gold chain necklace with a tiny ABEL charm in capital letters by The M Jewelers ($130, themjewelersny.com). (The rapper’s real name is Abel Tesfaye.) She was last snapped wearing it in Paris at the end of October.

But since their relationship has ended, Hadid — whose sister, Gigi, will also be joining her on the VS runway — has been spotted out and about wearing “Bella” neck gear, instead. She tried a wide choker by The Ime Label embroidered with her name on November 6 in L.A. before settling on another piece by The M Jewelers (with Danielle Guizio): the Gothic Choker Necklace with petite b-e-l-l-a lettering (starting at $180, themjewelersny.com). Us Weekly first reported the news of the couple of a year and a half’s split. “They still have a great deal of love and respect for each other and will remain friends, but it has been too hard to coordinate their schedules with him finishing and promoting his upcoming album,” a source close to the “Starboy” rapper, 26, told Us. “They really tried to make it work.”

The pair were first linked in April 2015, when the Grammy winner asked the model to pose for his Beauty Behind the Madness album art. Hadid then starred in his “In the Night” music video, which dropped December 2015. Two months later, the couple made their official red carpet debut at the 2016 Grammys.
