The Shameless actress, 30, who is engaged to Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, modeled the bright scarlet, asymmetrical A-line dress by Preen at the luncheon. (The flawless wedding hashtag is #youvegotesmail.) Rossum teamed the frock with nude sandals, slicked her curly brunette tresses back into a low ponytail and modeled minimal makeup.
The Phantom of the Opera actress showed off her style in three pics from the party, one of which she captioned with a sweet note to the hosts. “Thank you @katiewarnerjohnson and @doriegolkin for the lovely lunch!!! 🚿 #youvegotesmail,” she wrote.
The following evening, during her Royal Tour of Canada, the Duchess of Cambridge, 34, attended a reception at Government House in Victoria, British Columbia, clad in the same scarlet stunner. The mom of Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 17 months, who joined her on the trip, accessorized with a matching red clutch and pumps — a nod to the Canadian flag. She finished with one sparkling final touch: the queen’s diamond maple leaf brooch.
“Catherine and I are delighted to be back in Canada. When we were here last time [in the summer of 2011], we had been married only three months,” Prince William said in his opening speech just after landing in the country. “The warm welcome that you gave us at that important moment of our lives meant a lot to us — and we have never forgotten it.”
