When Digital Writer Yana Grebenyuk is not writing for Us Weekly, she can be found in her Brooklyn home binge-watching her way through all the Real Housewives franchises.

Prior to her attempt to catch up on everything Bravo, Yana loves to watch a mix of dark comedies, true crime, horror shows and more. Her favorites include Nancy Drew, Heartstopper, The Wilds, Stranger Things, Cruel Summer, Scream, Bridgerton, Search Party and Sweet/Vicious.

She has also seen every episode of Vanderpump Rules, Selling Sunset and Below Deck.

In her free time, Yana has spent several years helping create fandom-focused fundraising projects for various charities.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Before joining the Us Weekly team, Yana got her start by covering television for several outlets such as TV Fanatic. Her love for writing about TV started with the CW’s The 100 (Bellarke should have been endgame!) and she followed it through to the very end. Yana got the chance to moderate panels, interview tons of cast members and even lead a panel about TV coverage.

Yana has also enjoyed getting to cover news and interview talent at NYCC over the years.

Education

Yana majored in journalism and creative writing and minored in media studies at Baruch College.

Work history

After being an Editorial Intern at TV Guide Magazine, she was later a freelance writer at TV Insider and gained experience in TV production. Before she joined the Us Weekly team in March 2021, Yana was a Staff Writer at TV Fanatic for five years.
