Guillermo Rodriguez

Guillermo Rodriguez is a Mexican-American television personality and comedian best known as Jimmy Kimmel’s longtime sidekick on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Rodriguez spent his childhood in Zacatecas, Mexico, before later moving to the United States. He began working as a parking lot security guard at the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Studio in 2003, while also working as a hotel room server. He became a U.S. citizen in 2005.

After he was caught sleeping in announcer Dicky Barrett’s car, Kimmel invited Rodriguez to appear on the show. He initially turned down the opportunity, citing his shy demeanor,but he eventually decided to join the cast. He became a regular on-air personality and took over red-carpet interviewing duties for the talk show in 2011.

Rodriguez has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for over a decade. He is also known for Guillermo’s Hollywood Roundup, as well as his celebrity interviews and comedy segments on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He has also appeared in various movie projects, including Rock Slyde (2009), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020). In 2026, it was announced that he would appear on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars.

Rodriguez is married but has kept his wife’s identity private. The couple have one son, Benji (born in 2011).
