Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin are expecting … a baby boy! The proud parents used a drool-worthy confetti-themed cake to announce the exciting news.
In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, November 4, the pair gathered around a table with their three children, Carmen, 4, Rafael, 2, and Leonardo, 13 months, waiting for the gender to be revealed by the color of the cake.
“Hey guys, what do you think it’s gonna be? It’s going to be a cake, right? Whatever it is, it’s going to be a cake,” Hilaria jokingly says before cutting into the sweet confection.
At the sight of blue filling, the Saturday Night Live star, 59, breaks into a grin and says in awe, “It’s a blueeeee cake … the magic cake says it’s a boy!” before asking his children, “Can we all say together ‘thank you,’ magic cake.” The kids eagerly obliged saying, “Thank you, magic cake!”
“Everything is wild!” Hilaria told Us Weekly shortly after she posted the video on Saturday. “The cake cutting went great … Although I was having a heart attack with blue food coloring everywhere. Carmen kept grabbing it out of my hand and I kept yelling, ‘No, I’ll do it!’ my fingers are a little bit blue today.”
The expectant mom tells Us that she was “in shock” when she found out she was having a boy. “I cried when I found out! I wasn’t upset about it but I was overwhelmed!” she says. “I really do believe that this baby was meant to be and will come and we’ll be completely obsessed with him. So no, I don’t wish he was a girl. With that being said, Carmen was a little disappointed because she’s been wanting a little sister! I don’t know if I can do 5!”
The yoga instructor, 33, captioned the reveal, “Ready for it??? Watch and see…girl or boy! And swipe for more pics! We had so much fun doing it this way.” Photos also showed the growing family posing in front of the “magic cake” as well as the kids eating the treat.
The exciting news comes just one day after the couple announced they were expecting their fourth child together by sharing a sweet snap of Hilaria and Alec, 59, playing on the floor with their three kids.
“Our Baldwinitos are getting a new teammate this spring,” she captioned the sweet shot. “I’m gonna make them a special cake to tell them if it’s a boy or a girl…I’ll post it tomorrow midday. We are so excited!” Alec also reposted the picture on his Instagram account and wrote,” Here we go again…”
The 30 Rock alum and the Yoga Vida cofounder met at a restaurant in New York City in February 2011 and tied the knot at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in June 2012. They renewed their vows at Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Long Island for their fifth anniversary in July.
Alec is also the father of 22-year-old daughter Ireland, whom he shares with his first wife, Kim Basinger.
