The spark is staying alive! Angelique Cabral knows that it takes hard work to make her marriage a priority while raising her 14-month-old daughter.
“We try to have date night once a week and we try to schedule sex so that we schedule our intimate time,” Cabral, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly at 29Rooms’ Opening VIP Night at The Reef in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 4. “We, like, put it in [the books] so that we make sure that we don’t lose our adult time.”
The Life in Pieces star, who married film composer Jason Osborn in August 2013, also told Us how their relationship has taken a turn since welcoming daughter Adelaide in September 2017. “We rely on each other a lot, but I would say that our relationship has just changed in that it’s, like, more fleeting, but you just have to schedule it and make it a priority,” she explained. “So we’re learning to do that and it’s great.”
Cabral also noted that a healthy sex life is “the first thing to go, honestly,” for new parents. “It’s the first thing that kind of goes by the wayside. Babies are amazing, but they aren’t all of you, so we’re just trying to find that happy medium,” she dished to Us. “So there’s a lot of morning canoodling and in the afternoon, when she’s sleeping, that’s a very popular time.”
The Enlisted actress hopes to give her daughter a sibling in the near future — and she recently had a scare! “[We’re] not officially [trying] yet, but last month, I was like, ‘Am I pregnant?’ I totally thought I was pregnant,” she revealed. “I had a scare. But not yet. I think I want to wait until she’s 2, but we’re not not trying.”
