Cutest sidekick ever!
Gwen Stefani‘s youngest son, Zuma, turned 4 on Tuesday and dressed up as Batman’s crime-fighting partner Robin to celebrate. The 42-year-old singer took her little man shopping at a party store that afternoon to stock up on superhero-themed party supplies.
Stefani, who also shares son Kingston, 6, with husband of nearly 10 years Gavin Rossdale, carried the birthday boy (clad in red and green jumpsuit and blue cape) on her hip while looking around the store. The busy mom settled on buying two giant pinatas of Spider-Man and Batman, which she had help carrying to her car.
The stylish singer has reunited with No Doubt after an 11-year break, and the band is set to release their sixth studio album, Push and Shove, on Sept. 25. Stefani recently joked to New York Magazine‘s Vulture that returning to music has been a “nice break” from taking care of her superhero boys. She admitted the band’s priorities have had to change now that all four members are parents.
“Before, it was unspoken that the band was the number 1 thing; there was not a girlfriend or someone else that could be before the band,” Stefani said. “It wasn’t even something we discussed, it just was what it was. But we’re at a stage where we don’t have to be like that anymore; we can kind of do this when we want to do it.”
“Like today, for instance, I told [the band], ‘I cannot do twelve-hour days anymore, stop it!’ ” she explained. “I just missed Kingston and Zuma going to sleep. But I get to talk to you,” she told the Vulture reporter, “and it’s actually a nice break — my kids are so much work,” she said, laughing. “No Spider-Man for me tonight, but that’s okay. I’ll take a break.”
