Make way for a new housemate! Season 11 Big Brother winner Jordan Lloyd and her husband, Jeff Schroeder, welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on Thursday, September 6.
“Welcome to the world Layton Sarti Schroeder 8lbs 7oz – 20.5 inches. Lawson is gonna be the best Big Brother! #family,” Schroeder captioned pics of the newborn. “@bbjordanlloyd did such a great job! Thank you to all the amazing Doctors & nurses.”
Hours earlier, Jordan shared an Instagram video from her hospital room on Thursday. “I’m laughing now but these contractions are starting to get intense & it’s just the beginning,” she captioned the clip. She tweeted on Wednesday that she was hoping to go into labor by the end of the day: “September 5th is when @jeffschroeder23 & I got engaged (can’t believe it’s already been 4 years).”
The TV personalities, who are parents of 22-month-old Lawson, first announced they were expecting baby No. 2 in March. “We have a very special announcement that we want to tell everybody,” Jeff, 40, began during his news series Daily Blast Live. Lawson made a special appearance on the segment rocking a T-shirt that read, “Soon to be a big brother.”
Jordan, 31, and Jeff met while filming the CBS series in 2009. She won the season, while fan favorite Schroeder took home America’s Favorite Houseguest.
After Lawson was born, Jeff told Us he was looking forward to the baby taking his first steps. “I’m excited for when the baby starts walking and I can start playing with him,” he admitted. “I just want to do typical dad things like play sports with him and take him tot he park, take him fishing, just teach him things, take him to to the ocean.”
