She’s here! Eddie Redmayne and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, have welcomed their first child together.
Bagshawe gave birth to daughter Iris Mary on Wednesday, June 15, the couple announced in a birth notice in The Times of London on Saturday, June 18.
The Danish Girl actor, 34, and the public relations executive tied the knot in December 2014, one month before he took home his first Academy Award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.
A year later, Us Weekly confirmed that they were expecting their first child.
Redmayne recently gushed about the duo’s nuptials during an interview with The Telegraph. “The most wonderful thing I’ve ever done!” he said in February.
In January 2014, the Les Misérables star joked about the pair’s romantic ceremony, which he said Bagshawe showed up late to.
“My wife — it sounds so amazing just after you get married, even the terms sound new — she has never been on time for anything in her life,” he told Ellen DeGeneres at the time. “She was a good half-hour late. Her grandfather had to be sort of held back from going and summoning her. Everyone else was really stressed, but I was kind of relaxed knowing that she’d never been on time for pretty much anything in her life.”
