Enrique Iglesias surprised his more than 11 million Instagram followers when he posted an adorable photo of one of his newborn twins on Monday, January 16.
The new dad captioned the picture, “My Sunshine,” and didn’t specify whether the sleeping 4-week-old is Nicholas or Lucy.
In the image, the Spanish musician cuddles with the baby, who is resting peacefully on a heart-patterned Boppy lounger.
An hour later, first-time mom Anna Kournikova shared a picture of herself cuddling the other twin!
It’s a big deal that the fiercely private 42-year-old shared a photo his child with the world. For starters, he and Kournikova kept the pregnancy completely private. And though Iglesias and the former tennis pro have been dating for 16 years, neither have ever confirmed that they are in a relationship. Fans have speculated, however, that the two secretly wed, given the yellow diamond she wears on her ring finger.
The Madrid native hinted in 2016 that he and Kournikova are in fact husband and wife. “I don’t believe you need a piece of paper to show you love someone,” he told E! News. When asked if he had any plans to get married, Iglesias quipped: “Who knows what the future holds . . . or the past!”
As previously reported, Iglesias and Kournikova, 36, welcomed a boy and girl on December 16 in Miami. On that same day, Kournikova posted three photos on Instagram of herself riding on a boat. She captioned the post: “#miamiwinter #nofilterneeded.”
After the birth of Nicholas and Lucy was announced, fans sounded off in the comments section of Kournikova’s Instagram. “She was always posting full body pics. Then stopped all of a sudden. There was a reason,” one fan wrote. Another added: “I CALLED IT almost 5 months ago!! I said she’s pregnant.”
