Next time Fergie’s son Axl takes a nap, she should crawl in bed with him. Between working crazy hours and chasing after a 4-year-old, the pop star is exhausted.
“As any hard-working mom knows, it is a delicate balancing act that I have to be juggling all the time with the different schedules, the family schedules, the work schedules,” Fergie, 42, told reporters during a TCA panel for her Fox singing competition The Four on Thursday, January 4. “Sometimes I’m just a tired mom.”

The former Black Eyed Peas member shares Axl with ex Josh Duhamel. The couple announced their separation in September 2017 after eight years of marriage but are committed to healthy coparenting.
Currently single, Fergie says she isn’t closed off to the idea of giving Axl a sibling one day. “You never know. I never say never. It’s definitely a new year and the circumstances are . . . new,” she revealed. “So right now I’m not thinking about that because I’ve got so much on my plate and I’m just trying to be the best mom for my little Punky Pie. That’s what I call him. I call him Punky because he loves pumpkin pie!”
While the verdict is out on another kid, one thing is certain: Fergie is going to catch up on her sleep. And maybe book a massage. “The thing that I would like to get more of in 2018 bit more me time,” she quipped. “Just to chill.”
The Four premieres on Thursday, January 11, at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
