So long, summer of fun!
When Giuliana and Bill Rancic's second round of in vitro fertilization ended in heartbreak last year and Giuliana miscarried, the couple vowed to take a year off from family planning to reconnect, travel the world and enjoy some of the things they wouldn't be able to do if their days were spent chasing after tykes.
But as a new clip from the couple's Style series Giuliana & Bill shows, the pair have decided to try IVF again for a third time.
On Monday's episode, the Rancics travel to Colorado to discuss egg retrieval with Dr. William Schoolcraft of the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine in Denver, and struggle to come to terms with their prior, failed IVF attempts.
"They told us they were A+ [eggs]," Bill laments in the clip.
When the doctor offers words of encouragement to the couple about beginning another round of treatment, Giuliana — who once received 63 IVF shots a month — is especially pleased. "We haven't had this much hope in a long time, so this is very, very nice," she admits.
Later, her husband's mind starts to wander with possibility. "I'd love to have twins!" he tells the doc. But Giuliana says their family planning wouldn't stop there. "Even if we have twins, we're having more kids," she says with a chuckle. "We're going to need a 'frequent IVF-er' card!"
