Baby on board! Within hours of confirming on Friday, April 5, that she is expecting a child with fiance Olivier Martinez, Halle Berry was spotted out and about in New York City with just the slightest hint of a bump.
The 46-year-old second-time mom-to-be — who has a 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry — looked casual but chic as she shopped with friends in Manhattan. She wore jeans, a charcoal-gray coat buttoned at the neck, aviator sunglasses, and a loose-fitting top that mostly concealed her tiny baby belly.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, TMZ, and other outlets, the Oscar winner is pregnant and due to give birth to a baby boy later this year. "We can confirm that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are expecting a child," her rep told Us. Added a source: "She's elated."
With good reason. Berry, engaged to her Dark Tide costar Martinez, 47, since late 2010, admitted last fall that little Nahla was hoping for a sibling. "That's the thing. [My daughter is] asking me," the Cloud Atlas actress said during an interview for The Wendy Williams Show.
"Every night we pray to God, and she's so sweet. She says, 'God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.' And I say, 'I can do one of those things, I know for sure! The other one we have to keep praying on,'" Berry continued. "What do you say to her when she wants that and can't understand why God's taking so long, you know?"
