Kick them off! Hayden Panettiere, currently expecting her first child, took a break backstage at the 2014 Emmy Awards on Monday, Aug. 25, by sitting down on a plush chair and taking off her heels.
The 2014 Emmy Awards was a big evening for the mom-to-be, 25, who looked radiant in a sequined gown with a plunging neckline by Lorena Sarbu. Before taking to the stage, Panettiere revealed on the red carpet that she was expecting a baby girl with her fiance, Wladimir Klitschko.
“I’m thrilled,” she told Giuliana Rancic of her pregnancy. “I can’t wait for her to come out.”
The Nashville star also revealed some of the struggles she’s faced while anticipating her daughter’s birth. “The only thing that’s difficult is making sure that it’s tucked away,” she said of her bump. “My feet get sore when I’m [even] wearing no shoes. I’ve never felt this amount of weight on me.”
To help relieve the weight, the pregnant actress made her way inside the gifting section backstage at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. According to an observer, Panettiere “immediately took her shoes off” and walked onto a faux sheepskin rug inside the Softline suite.
She reacted to the fuzzy floor by saying her feet were “melting” into it, and she wanted to take it onstage for when she presented. While there, Panettiere was photographed sitting and resting her bare toes on the sheepskin material.
She also made her way into the green room, where she chatted and mingled with fellow stars like Orange Is the New Black actress Uzo Aduba, and others.
