Laurel, Mississippi has a new resident. Home Town’s Ben and Erin Napier announced the birth of their daughter, Helen, in a Thursday, January 4, Instagram post.
First-time mom Erin shared four sweet images of her newborn from the hospital. In one image, the sleepy baby is seen wrapped in a footprint patterned blanket with a pink bow in her hair.
Erin admitted to Us Weekly in October that she was terrified of going into labor. “It’s been my biggest fear for my whole life. My dad is a doctor in physical therapy and he had all these medical books that I read when I was way too young,” the 32-year-old artist said. “I found pictures of childbirth and it seriously traumatized me. But there’s nothing you can do. You just have to get through this part and then you have the joy of a child.”
Though Erin continued to film season 2 of Home Town into her third trimester, her college sweetheart Ben, 34, made sure she wasn’t overexerting herself. “He doesn’t let me do anything! Not one thing,” she told Us at the time. “He treats me like I am the most delicate little flower. He’s just so gracious and generous but he’s always been that way. It’s just gone into total overdrive since we found out about the baby.”
Little Helen will be raised in a house filled with love. “Erin and I do our best when we’re glued at the hip. That’s what works for us. We have to be together as much as possible,” Ben told Us in October. Added Erin: “We tell each other everything. We share the burdens and you share joys and it makes marriage really, really sweet.”
