Don’t poke the mama bear! Jana Kramer tells Us Weekly exclusively that she’s “really, really, really territorial” of her 2-year-old daughter, Jolie, and has no problem putting Instagram trolls in their place. “There’s not much that you’re gonna say that’s gonna hurt my feelings,” the country singer reveals. “Unless it’s about my child.”
Kramer, 34, recently came across a comment that accused her of never being around her toddler. “I’m like, ‘I’m with her 24/7,’” she tells Us. “Don’t question my motherhood. It just makes me really angry.”
But the worst is when people attack Jolie personally. “They’re like, ‘Your daughter, she’s not talking well. Is something wrong with her?’” Kramer says. “I try to take the high road, but there are certain times if it’s about my daughter, I’ll say something.”
Kramer and her husband, Mike Caussin, welcomed Jolie in February 2016. That year, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant was shamed for buying jarred baby food. “So easy to make your own! Steam and puree pretty much any fruit or veggie. Great way to avoid perks preservatives,” wrote one critic. Another chimed in: “Yes, they’re convenient but not as nutritious as mummy’s homemade.”
Kramer hit back the same day, by posting a photo of a handwritten note. “Dear Mommy Shamers,” she wrote. “Unless you are Jolie’s doctor, her father or her mom, do NOT tell me how to raise my child or how to feed her. Sincerely, Jolie’s MOM.”
