A celebration is in order! Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Kerr, have welcomed their first child together — a baby boy.
The country superstar announced the news via Instagram on Friday, December 1. “So blessed today to see my little man come into the world,” he captioned a pic of his newborn in the hospital. “In a year that has been a rollercoaster ride, this is what its all about. I cant wait to see what life has in store for this kid. Memphis Aldean… 9lb 5 oz. #mamawasarockstar.”
Aldean, 40, and his love, 29, announced they were expecting their first bundle of joy together via Instagram in May.
“SURPRISE!!! WE ARE PREGNANT!!!” Kerr captioned an adorable pic of her husband touching her baby bump. “This was the hardest secret we’ve ever had to keep 🙈 This journey for us has been full of many happy times & also many tears… The biggest rollercoaster we have ever been on, without a doubt! All of the moments of heartache were followed by the biggest blessing in the entire world!! We will never take one moment for granted & can’t wait to meet you, sweet baby!!! 👶🏼💛 “
Later that month, the duo revealed they were expecting a baby boy.
“Today is the day….. whats it gonna be? boy or girl! #genderreveal,” Aldean captioned an Instagram snap of the pair.
The couple went on to document their baby’s gender reveal with fans. The lovebirds were joined by Aldean’s daughters, Keeley, 14, and Kendyl, 10, from a previous marriage. The group popped balloons, which were filled with blue confetti — signifying they were expecting a baby boy.
And in September, the “Dirt Road Anthem” singer shared his anticipation of meeting his son in the most adorable way.
“We finally got our lil man’s room ready for him. Can’t wait to meet you and bring you home to ur new room, Memphis,” the star wrote alongside an Instagram pic showing off the little one’s beautiful bedroom.
In October, shortly before the pair welcomed their little one, Aldean was performing at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas when a gunman open fire onto the crowd — claiming the lives of at least 59 concertgoers. Aldean and Kerr escaped uninjured.

The pair tied the knot in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, in March 2015.
