Another children's book author is coming out of Beverly Hills, 90210!
A week after Tori Spelling announced she was writing her first children's book, Jennie Garth tells UsMagazine.com that she has signed on to pen some kids' books as well.
"I just signed a two-book deal to start my own children's books," the 37-year-old star told Us at a Milk + Bookies event in L.A. Sunday. "So I’m really excited about that!"
The books, which will be targeted to kids ages 3 to 8, won't hit bookshelves until February 2011, the mother of three girls — Luca, 12, Lola, 7, and Fiona, 3 — says. Garth says she "can't really say yet" what the books will be about "because we are still negotiating."
Garth, who has been married to actor Peter Facinelli since 2001, tells Us that being a mom was all the experience she needed to take on the new gig.
"We are really great parents, if I do say so myself!" she jokes. "We really take it as a full-time commitment and job… We take it very seriously."
