Josh Brolin is well-versed on feeding schedules and burping techniques. Although the actor, who is expecting a baby girl with wife Kathryn Boyd admits he’s been out of the game for a while. (Brolin is also dad of Trevor, 30, and daughter Eden, 25, from a previous marriage to Alice Adair.)
“I’m nervous, but I’m excited,” the 50-year-old told Us Weekly and other reporters at the Sicario: Day of the Soldado premiere in New York City on Monday, June 18. “I’ve been a parent for so long, since as long as I can remember basically. I got out of high school, two years later we had a kid. So I don’t really know life without having kids.”
Brolin added that he is “massively looking forward to” meeting his little girl.
Even though Brolin has been busy promoting his new thriller that opens in theaters on June 29, he and his wife of more than a year have have been “spoiling each other” plenty.

“We’re going to take a lot of personal time after this and do a lot of personal things and just spend time germinating and focusing on this baby,” he revealed. “We’re very, very happy.”
The Deadpool 2 star and Boyd, 30, announced in May that she is pregnant with her first child.
“We were trying. I just didn’t think it would happen so fast. We were both like, ‘What?!’” Brolin told USA Today in an interview published on Sunday, June 17. The couple have using pregnancy apps on their phones to track the baby’s development.
“She’s starting to kick now,” he told the paper. “We can see all that movement. I am so happy about it, man.”
