Joy-Anna Duggar is opening up about navigating her pregnancy with baby No. 4.

“Well … hate starting off the week like this … I’ve been feeling pretty good overall this pregnancy, but today it hit me,” Duggar, 28, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, October 5, alongside a selfie.

She continued, “So … sitting in my chair, crying over every little thing (pregnancy hormones [are] crazy) and shopping some of the early big deal days sales on Amazon.”

Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, announced in September that they are expecting. The couple are already parents of sons Gideon, 8, and Gunner, 3, and daughter Evelyn, 5. (Joy-Anna previously suffered a miscarriage in 2019, a daughter named Annabell.)

“Coming 2027!! So much joy, so much excitement, and so much love for this little one already. God knew we needed you,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.

When the pair shared the news of their pregnancy with their children, Duggar recalled the little ones being elated.

“They are going to make the best big siblings 🫶🏼,” she wrote via Instagram in September alongside a video of the kids learning the news. “They’ve been praying for a baby brother or sister for a long time and since finding out they have been talking to & about their baby non-stop 🥹.”

Later that month, Duggar opened up about her feelings regarding the decision to grow her family.

“Even in the pregnancy, I am trying to enjoy it, even though it seems like it’s been fast,” Duggar shared on an episode of the “Call Your Sister” podcast in September. “It’s been harder, but I don’t know how many more times I’m going to do this.”

Joy-Anna, who grew up among Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children and rose to fame on 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, shared that she initially felt “pressure” to have a large family as a result of her conservative upbringing.

“I felt that in our first pregnancy, and Austin and I have had to have real conversations about [it] because I feel like it’s really important,” she said. “Austin, [during] this pregnancy, for the first time was like, ‘Do you know what? We might be done after this one. I don’t know, how do you feel?’”

She continued, “It’s crazy to me that we might already be there, like, we’re done with this phase of life, so that part of it is bittersweet. Right now, I don’t feel like I would be done with this one. Four or five have always been … in my mind.”
