One of each! Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, are expecting a baby boy. The “Stronger” singer announced the gender of their second child via Instagram on Friday, Oct. 23.
“In other news, River’s gonna have a little baby brother,” Clarkson, 33, wrote. “#itsaboy We’re so excited!”
Alongside the caption, the American Idol alum posted an adorable photo of the couple’s 16-month-old daughter, River Rose. (Blackstock is also dad to two children from a previous marriage — daughter Savannah and son Seth.)
Clarkson and the music manager, 38, tied the knot at Blackberry Farms in Walland, Tenn., in October 2013. In an impromptu moment during an emotional show at L.A.’s Staples Center this past August, Clarkson revealed that she was expecting baby No. 2.
“I was not planning on announcing this but I’m totally pregnant,” she said at the time. “I didn’t want you to think I was on pills or something! Everything is great. I haven’t vomited yet, that’s a win!”
The following month, Clarkson canceled the rest of her Piece by Piece tour dates to rest her voice.
