Tom Parker’s widow, Kelsey Parker, is opening up about the “hope” that her rainbow baby has brought to her life after her stillborn son’s death.
“A full-circle moment I’ll never forget. 🌈🤍,” Kelsey wrote via Instagram on Saturday, October 4, sharing a video of her appearance on Good Morning Britain.
In the clip, Kelsey explained that it was her daughter’s first TV appearance after she and partner Will Lindsay welcomed River in September. (Kelsey is also mom to kids Aurelia and Bodhi, whom she welcomed with Tom before his 2022 death. Kelsey and Lindsay also welcomed son Phoenix in 2025, who was “born sleeping.”)
“I don’t think I could have imagined more of a special place to be,” Kelsey said in the video. “Going back to Good Morning Britain this time felt completely different. The last time I sat on that sofa, I was sharing one of the most heartbreaking parts of our story. Talking about Phoenix, about baby loss, about navigating grief that no parent should ever have to experience.”
Kelsey went on to thank Good Morning Britain, “for always giving me the space to talk about him, for allowing me to keep his name and his story alive and hopefully helping other families feel less alone in their grief.”
“But this time, I got to walk in the studio with my little rainbow baby in my arms. Our little River. She doesn’t take away the pain or replace what we’ve lost,” Kelsey said. “Phoenix will always be a part of our family. But she has brought so much hope back into our lives. And sitting there with her after everything we have been through was one of the most amazing moments where I thought, ‘Wow, look how far we’ve come.’ My little River, already making her TV debut. A tiny girl carrying so much hope.”
In the caption, Kelsey reflected on October 9 marking “the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week,” sharing that it’s “a week that will always mean so much to me.”
“I will never stop talking about baby loss. I will never stop saying Phoenix’s name,” she wrote. “Because he existed, he matters and he will always be part of our family.”
Kelsey noted that “so many families are carrying this same love and loss every single day, and the more we talk about it, the less alone someone else might feel.”
“River will never replace Phoenix,” she wrote. “She is her own beautiful little person and a new chapter in our story. But after everything we’ve been through, she has brought so much hope back into our lives. Let’s keep talking, keep sharing and keep saying their names. 🤍For Phoenix. Always. 🕊️.”
