Back in December 2014, Kim Kardashian told Us Weekly that her then-17-month-old daughter North was “obsessed” with Elf on the Shelf. The KKW Beauty founder added it was the “most exciting thing” about Christmas for her little girl at the time. But four years later, nothing has changed.
Elf on the Shelf is the idea that Santa’s little scout watches children at their homes during the day and then returns to the North Pole to report to Santa Claus on whether they were naughty or nice. In the morning, he assumes a new position in the house, which is where Mom and Dad come into play. And there is one rule: Kids can’t touch the elves. According to the Elf on the Shelf website, “Christmas magic is very fragile, and if Scout Elves are touched they may lose their magic.”
Apparently, Kardashian’s son Saint, 3, didn’t get the message. “Saint touched his Elf on a Shelf so North just brought this in,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 19. In the picture, drawn by North, the elf is seen laying in a bed of grass beside a gravestone that reads: “RIP.”
But there is still hope for Saint’s scout. The Elf on the Shelf page offers a bunch of simple suggestions to renew the magic, and one involves singing a Christmas carol!
Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West, will be hosting a Christmas party at their home. “We’re taking it over from my mom,” she told E! News earlier this month. “She’s still throwing it, but it’s at our house.”
The reality star and the 41-year-old rapper are also parents of Chicago, 11 months. They tied the knot in May 2014.
