Seeing Zoey’s future? On Wednesday, Oct. 21, actress Zoey Deutch stood by her famous mom, Lea Thompson, at the Back to the Future special screening in New York City, causing fans to see double.
The Vampire Academy star, 20, wore a striped navy frock by Suno with her wavy copper-colored hair almost exactly matching her mom’s honey blonde locks. The Back to the Future star, 54, wore a black long-sleeve minidress with black heels to the event.
The ladies had the same oval-shaped face and flashed look-alike smiles. Thompson shares Zoey and her other daughter Madelyn with her husband of 26 years, director Howard Deutch.
“Thanks for always being there for me @zoeydeutch you are my style icon,” Thompson captioned a red carpet picture with her daughter on Instagram.
Thompson wasn’t the only former star to pay tribute to the hit ‘80s flick on what is considered to be Back to the Future Day (the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown traveled to the year 2015 in the second film in the franchise). Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Huey Lewis also attended the screening and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a Back to the Future sketch later that evening.
