It's been a day of ups and downs for Michael Lohan. As his daughter Lindsay was in court trying to avoid jail time for violating her probation following a series of legal troubles in 2012, his on-again girlfriend Kate Major was in labor with his baby.
Major gave birth to the couple's son at a Florida hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 2:39 p.m. local time, a rep for the family confirms to Us Weekly. (TMZ broke the news first.) The baby — named Landon Major Lohan — weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured nearly 20 inches.
The rep tells Us that Lindsay's dad was with Major throughout the entire labor. He even cut the umbilical cord. Both mother and child are "doing great."
Landon is the sixth child for Lohan, 52, who split from ex-wife Dina in 2005. The couple share kids Lindsay, 26, Michael Jr., 25, Ali, 19, and Cody, 16; Lohan also has a 17-year-old daughter, Ashley Horn, from a long-ago fling.
Major was previously involved with reality star Jon Gosselin. She and Lohan became engaged in 2010 but broke up a short time later. In July 2012, however, they announced that that they were expecting their first child together.
