She’s still laughing! Chewbacca Mom, a.k.a. Candice Payne, jumped into the driver’s seat to give the Late Late Show host, James Corden, a lift to work on Monday, May 23 — and the results were awesome!
Corden, who was running late, began the skit by getting frustrated with the Dallas-area mom, who was struggling with her chauffeur duties because she couldn’t stop laughing and playing with her Chewie mask.
“I have got to get to work. Is there any way we can leave now.”
“I’m such a happy Chewbacca!” Payne screeched as she set off laughing again.
“I know you’re a happy Chewbacca,” replied a grouchy Corden. “You know that doesn’t sound anything like Chewbacca, right?”
Cue a special guest.
“I gotta disagree,” responded The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. “It’s an excellent Chewbacca.”
